The title is Japanese, meaning 'sorrow'. This is the only song on this album that isn't completely acoustic, because I used an electric guitar to accompany it. I tuned down to 435hz for this song. The electric guitars were recorded by an omni pattern condenser mic in the opposite corner of the room to where the amp was. I used my friend's Orange amplifier going through some old beat up Celestion speakers. I recorded the drums in a similar way, with the microphone on the other side of the room. The harsh vocals were recorded through a condenser microphone, then re-recorded played through my cellphone speaker in the corner of the room. The throat singing was recorded directly into the microphone. This is possibly the saddest song I've ever composed, and was inspired by DSBM and by the tragic events of Hiroshima and Nagasaki in 1945.
